CMS Must Now Share Medicare Advantage and Part D Info as Part of the “PAID Act”
President Trump just signed the PAID Act into law, as part of the “Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2021, and Other Extensions Act.” This Act now requires Medicare to share Medicare Advantage Plan information through the Section 111 query process including the name and address of any Medicare Advantage or Part D plan that the individual has enrolled in within the last three years. The PAID Act also requires that CMS confirm whether an individual was entitled to Medicare benefits within the last three years. CMS has up to one year to implement these changes. These changes will make it much easier to identify when a Claimant/Plaintiff has coverage under Medicare Part C and/or Part D.
